newborn photoshoot

newborn photo session can be quite expensive and although i would love to cherish my baby's first days, i think this money better be spent on something of a more significance. So i was looking at doing diys and stuff. tell me ladies, do you recommend going for it and pay all that money for a professional photoshoot?? how were you able to save some money? did you take the photos yourselves?? as for jcp newborn photography, do you think they're worth it for someone not willing to spend much??
