preeclampsia 23 weeks
I was admitted inpatient yesterday with no release date due to early preeclampsia.
urine had 468 mg of protein in 24 hours (over 300 is alarming)
blood pressure staying pretty consistently high but not to the point where they're worried about seizure/stroke.
the worst part is (it makes me cry every time I even have to type it) the baby is now measuring 3 weeks behind. at my 20 week anatomy scan he was 10 ounces. at 23 weeks and 3 days... he was 12 ounces.
doctors gave me the steroid shot in the butt just in case they have to induce... but things dont look good.
my request: has anyone ever had anything similar? anything to make me feel just a little bit better? anyone ever measure this far behind?
my advice: if your gut is telling you something is wrong.... do something about it. I've never had high blood pressure in my life and at 21 weeks I got this wicked weird instinctual feeling something was wrong and I bought a blood pressure monitor (cost me 20 bucks at walmart) and it was 166 over 105. I called my doctor and it took them 2 weeks to care. be your own advocate. nobody loves your baby as much as you do.
