My 3 yr old is mostly a good kid, but he’s in a tough phase where he’s trying to assert himself by not listening. I can deal with most things by ignoring bad behavior, but when it’s a safety issue it’s a problem. My biggest concern is he has been running away from me and will not come back for any reason, I can yell, ask nicely, turn my back, it doesn’t matter. We are going on vacation in 2 weeks and I can’t have him run away on a hike and run off a cliff. I hate to physically restrain him, but sometimes I have no choice. I’m also pregnant so shouldn’t be lifting him. Any thoughts?
