Mini pill

Has anyone been on the progesterone only pill and how was that?

I went to my doctor because I had an irregular monthly cycle and suspicion for ovary cysts. She gave me a stack of the mini pill as I would be using it with condoms and not as a main way of birth control.

I haven’t started taking it yet as it says on the packet that it could actually cause cysts, stop all bleeding or cause random bleeding. This seems like the complete opposite of why I went to my doctor in the first place.

Does anyone have experience with that? Is it dangerous?
