overcoming experience!
okay so in 2015 i spent my school days in doctors offices trying to figure out what was wrong with my shoulder. i had several MRI’s, multiple test with big needles, cat scans, x-rays etc. i kept getting referred to different doctors and no one could figure ut out which it now seems simple. i eventually had to go to texas children’s hospital in 2016 and they asked me if i would want an MRI and having to wait a week for results, or go ahead with surgery, and i decided to do a open biopsy, they cut open my shoulder and found out i had a tumor, which they biopsied and found out it was benign which was GREAT news. a few months later i went into to get it completely removed. I remember being so happy and content because the pain i had dealt with for YEARS was gone. i still have some pain or cramping after 2 years but other than that, it left a scar, which i keloid so a pretty gross scar, it’s not that big, but its also new so it’s still very pink. it took me about a year to wear any shirt that showed my shoulders because i hated people seeing it. i’m not more accepting of it because it’s always going to be there.
