Conceiving baby number 2

Hey ladies I’m having a few problems I would like to get some advice on...the first of September 2017 I went to have my copper IUD removed. It was stuck and I had to have a small surgery to remove it. My husband and I have been trying since then to conceive a second child but no luck so far. I got pregnant very quickly with our first child...I stopped the pill in August and by September we were pregnant. My OB likes for you to try for a full year before he steps in to help. Do any of you have any advice...I’m discouraged and at a loss.
