my siblings and i agree that it was one of the worst and cruellest things our parents ever did to us was stay together and explode us to their relationship. it messed us up in ways i can’t even describe and continues to impact our own lives now. 
the kick is our parents are still together, and somehow happier and stronger than ever. it creates emotions i wouldn’t wish on my worst enemy.

Mine mostly argued in their room and didn’t throw things but I hated it anyway. Kids know! They can sense the negativity.  Better to be from a broken home than in one.

My dad didn’t let it get that bad. He kicked my drug addict mother out and raised us 3 children alone. He is still not remarried sadly.

as a little kid, I did. It made me very sad. but the older I got, around like age 11-12, I wished they would just end the fucking cycle already. (my parents were separated and divorced and remarried multiple times)

I wished for years that my oarents would divorce. I moved out at 17, now married with 2 kids of my own and they just recently finally went through with a divorce. 22 years. 22 years my mom put up with his bull crap and abuse. They have 7 kids together. 5 of which are stuck with him until she finds her own place. It’s been a nasty divorce but it’s finally done and I couldn’t be happier for her
