How to convince husband for baby #2?

He was hesitant to have baby number one (not ready and citing finances as a major reason) now we have good financial stability but he doesn’t want another one just yet. Baby is 5 and we are getting older too. Advice?

Maybe sit down with him & find out what the root cause is. He obviously just used money as an excuse. Men never say what they actually feel, at least my SO doesn't.

My husband was hesitant about having a second child too. One day my daughter went with my mom to watch the movie Storks and came back home asking for a baby brother. She thought we could just go to the store and buy one like all her other toys lol. She was persistent and would ask my husband and I everyday when her baby was coming. We both grew up with siblings and we discussed how it would be nice to be able to give her one if we could. My husband finally gave in and we now have a 3 year old and 5 month old!
