Barely having a period from bc pills

I’ve been on the pill for almost 2 years and the last 2 months my period has been sooooo light compared to usual and it’s mainly just brown for the first few days then turns light red for a few days in the middle. Has this happened to anyone before? I can only assume its from birth control pills. Any ideas?
