How did y'all know that you were done having babies?

I'm 30 and have 2 babies. A 2yr old and a 6wk old. My husband is kinda ify about not wanting more. He says if he was younger then yes but not since he is getting older(31). Don't get me wrong I do miss being pregnant(but not the preeclampsia and all the pains that go with it and I know it's part of pregnancy) I'm undecided really. I've been telling my husband I don't want anymore but have been having second thoughts.( if we were to have more it wouldn't be until my lo one is over a yr old).

If your not sure just keep using protection  or BC until your a thousand percent sure trust me I know waaay too many people who get fixed then regret it and no your not too old being 30 after 35 is when you need to be a little more concerned but even then your not old

I’m pregnant with baby number two and I’m getting my tubes tied after he/she is born. I just don’t want more kids and I don’t want to be pregnant ever again. If you have any doubts don’t do anything permanent!!

I had my first as a teen and that more or less shaped my decision to be done having babies by the time i'm 25. I want to be able to go out and do things while i'm still young, and i can't do that very well with small children. I also don't want more than 3 kids, because i personally had a bad experience being a fourth child. As it is if i have a third, he or she will be my last by both cutoffs.

For me I am 23 and due in June with my second. I want to be done just because I don’t want to be pregnant again and feel like 2 would be enough. But I think it’s a strong possibility we’ll try once more for a boy since we’ll have 2 girls and he’s literally the only person in the world left to carry on his name so it’s a lot of pressure.

I'm 28 and my husband is 31 and we're just now trying. Everyone is different. I would have liked to started a god 2 years ago but we just weren't in the right place in life and decided to wait. We've lost 2 already so it's been even more difficult. Now I do really wish we started trying years ago. Once I hit 30 that's it I'm done so hopefully we have our rainbow baby.

I have 3 kids currently. 17, 16, and 15. I had my tubes tied thinking that was it. especially when I basically did it all alone (worthless dad). I was 20 by the time I had my 3rd. Now I am 35, almost 36, ttc baby #4 with my husband who is 41. Had my tubal reversal back in October. Sometimes you just know these things and cant explain it, sometimes you're not really sure. I guess what I'm trying to say is, everyone is different and it may take time but...you will know in your heart eventually if you want more children or not. like you said, if you have a other, it'll be about a year from now. you have plenty of time to figure it out.

I feel like everyone’s reasoning for being done is different . Maybe it is financial or emotional (maybe they suffered ppd) or even physically they can’t . I’m 32 with 4 kids and my husband and I definitely want one more (God willing) after the 5 th we are done and if we aren’t pregnant by the time I am 34 we aren’t trying anymore . For us it is a “timing” thing .... our oldest is 11 and we don’t really want babies near our 40’s we want to have some free time as far as date nights and romantic weekends without kids . 
Bottom line , you will know when you are done ... but sometimes it’s hard to differ between just missing the baby phase and actually wanting another baby
