How often will you sterilize bottles?

I’m using the old school method with boiling on stovetop... I read that it is only necessary for the first time and then hit water and soap there on out is sufficient enough

I did it once a week and any time after illness or thrush.

We just did it once the first time.  My daughter is 16 months and never been sick.  We believe it is possible to over clean.

I just use the dishwasher (top rack only). I sometimes hand wash though

plus we have a dishwasher that has a sterilization button, so I will probably use it.
