Marrying at 18: college/financial effects?

My boyfriend and I want to get married but we don’t know when is the right time. We’ll both be 18 by next year and my main concern is how is it going to affect my financial aid in college or my living situation since they often require to live on campus the first year. I want to know from you guys if this would be a smart move financially or not.

If you’re getting married this young and it’s not for certain benefits that you know you’d have then there’s no reason not to wait to get married. I’m married and in college and my financial aid didn’t change from when I was single but that’s bc my parents are very low income and my husband and I make even less money. If your parents are loaded then you’ll probably get more financial aid when you’re married bc you’ll be considered an independent student and they won’t take your parents’ income under consideration. If the housing situation is a problem then do your research and don’t apply to colleges that won’t accept that you’re married and need to live with your husband somehow, but I don’t see why a college would limit you that way.

Considering neither of you probably make a lot of money, financially there’s going to be little to no difference. 
Living situation will vary with the school. A lot of school have married dorms. A ton don’t. Co-ed dorms are a thing but you can’t pick your room number and co-ed rooms are not a thing in co-Ed dorms. 
Personally, I don’t think marriage is a good idea right now. People change a lot when they get into college. There’s a lot of growing that happens. People find that certain universities offer better opportunities than others and transfer. I think it’d be easier on you both to wait it out a few more years.
