Should your religion dictate legislation?
Let’s use LGBTQ+ rights as an example.
Many Christians believe that being part of the LGBTQ+ community is a sin. But should their beliefs affect laws. Simply because it’s a choice they wouldn’t make do they have the right to dictate what others can do??
When you answer please pick yes it should or no it shouldn’t, as well as wether or not you’re religious.
I was talking to a gentleman who believed that he genuinely had the right to tell others how to live their lives because he was called upon by god to bring others into the light. When I said he could make his own choices but not legislate what others do he accused me of persecuting him because of his religion.
