What was the most painful about giving birth?

Hi ladies!

I’m 3 weeks postpartum and as I reflect on my labor and delivery experience, I realized it was nothing like I was expecting and there were a few things no one told me about.

Everyone kept telling me contractions would be the most painful part of the labor and delivery process.

I’m a first time mom and had a natural birth. My labor & delivery took a total of 1 hour and 30 minutes.

From my experience with no medication; I would say the afterbirth was the most painful. Afterbirth, pushing, then contractions would be least painful.

So how about you? What did you find most painful ?
