So I’m just about 37 weeks and baby is stubbornly breech. We had a scan around 34 weeks when we saw that he was frank breech. Doc said to avoid a c-section they wanted to check again around 37 weeks, so they could possibly attempt an ECV while there’s room. Well little bugger is still sitting in my pelvis. Anyone have this done before?.... this is third baby, first two were natural births. Oh and they aren’t letting me go past 39 weeks due to gestational diabetes and his size.

UPDATE: so spoke with the doc and he did alleviate some of my concerns with both the ECV and the possible c-section. I was under the impression that the ECV is done a week or so before the planned due date (for me the day I’m being induced)... I was wrong. They attempt it right before Im induced so that if it works im immediately started on the pitocin... if it doesn’t I go in for the c-section. Part of my concern was getting monitored after it did or didn’t work and then going home and baby being in distress or heart rate dropping and not knowing it. Being that it’s done and then he’s coming out is a relief... still not sure what rite to take but def more educated now.
