Anterior placenta?

Was just told last week I have an anterior placenta, any October ‘18 moms have this? All I was told was that I wouldn’t be able to feel kicking as soon, anyone know about any  “risks” for labor or other differences this might make in pregnancy? Thank you!

I have anterior placenta and I was told that I won’t be able to feel the baby sooner   May b after 18 weeks ..... it does not have any risks.  So dont worry about it .....it’s just the position where the fertilized egg is embedded in the womb. !! Just relax. You will eventually feel the baby of not now .

I had my daughter Feb 27th 2017. and had an anterior placenta I started feeling her at 22ish weeks and had no complications:)

I’m assuming I have it. With my first pregnancy I felt my son at 15 weeks and each week his kicks and rolls were stronger so definitely by 19 weeks I was feeling every little movement. I’m just shy of 19 weeks with baby #2 and I hardly feel her. If I really pay attention and sit really still for a while sometimes I can feel a little flutter maybe once or twice but she’s nothing like my son which makes me think I might have an anterior placenta. I go in for my anatomy scan in a week and half and I’ll know for sure then. I agree, I have read and been told only when the placenta blocks baby’s exit ( cervix ) is when you have to worry about complications and risks during labor but anterior placenta doesn’t have any risks.

I have that as well. My dr told me there would be no complications - just as others have said,  we won’t feel baby kick quite as early. A little bummed about that, but baby is healthy so that’s what really matters!

I’m due on the 10th. Mine is also anterior and I was really concerned so I did a lot of my own research and spoke with my doctor. The only concern is not feeling baby quite as early. The placenta can go anywhere in your uterus. Front, sides or back (back being the most common) theres no health issues or concerns if t implants in the front. 
Your doctor is going to keep an eye on it as it moves and will tell you if there’s anything to worry about.

I had it with my last pregnancy. You can still feel baby kick, it's just not as strong and it's more difficult for someone else to put their hand on your belly and feel it. Feeling movement also usually happens a little bit later with anterior placentas. But you can breathe easy knowing there is nothing to be worried about safety wise, it doesn't pose a danger.
