I had a very decent paying job with great benefits that I left when we were ttc. The hours were loooong, the management was bad, and the drama was high. In the end it wasn't worth the paycheck. I got a new job that pays TWICE as much, but shifts are competitive. I work a quarter as much but bring home half my usual paycheck from previous job (not bad considering I'm literally working 4 hour days 3-4 days a week vs 12 hours 4-5 days a week and STILL bring home half what I made before). This new job is SO MUCH BETTER for my mental health. I work alone, have creative control and a very flexible schedule. The problem is before we were married, we were saving money quickly because we rented out all our rooms to friends. Now that we are married and expecting a baby, we live alone and my husband is pretty much covering the mortgage alone and I feel awful. I have health issues so my check goes to copay after copay after copay. And utilities. Well, since I spent all of the 1st trimester in bed, I celebrated by going on a week long road trip (with a girl friend and without my husband) which means gas, camping permits, food, etc. And 1 week with no income. I needed this trip and it was really good for me. I got my paycheck today and already more than half is spoken for. Eye specialist. Gastro specialist. Neuro specialist. Etc. I texted husband apologizing for not being an equal partner. He then sent the sweetest text.

Im literally crying. 😂💖😣💑😓💕😭 He is truly yhe greatest. He has always been a sweet heart and I've met girls who have taken advantage of him. He deserves the best. I love him so much and he's going to make a wonderful dad!
