Birthing Center vs Hospital Birth.???

Question

So, this is my second...and I’m thinking I’m going to go with a birthing center (in Danbury Connecticut). Anyone have an experience in a birthing center?? If so....did you feel like you missed out on being able to stay and relax in a hospital for a couple days??
With my first, I did an all natural delivery in a hospital. I had a midwife, but she was the only one within the practice...so she wasn’t available for my delivery. My OB delivered my daughter, and she was so excellent and supportive of my wishes for all natural birth. However....she was pretty overly cautious and had me strapped to a monitor the whole time; causing me to be stuck in the bed. 
So, I’m just looking for a different experience. Can anyone give insight on their experience in a birthing center??
Like I said...I think my husband and I just liked that we had meals and a nursery at the hospital. Although...I think my mother would stay around to help out afterwards....

I loved my birth center birth! Could walk around (spent a lot of time outside doing laps around the building haha),’eat/drink whatever I wanted, labor in the shower/tub/bed/toilet whatever. And I thought it was wonderful being home in my own bed just hours later to heal on my terms 💙

congrats on baby #2!  I'm also pregnant with babe #2, but I had my first in a privately owned birth center with a midwife :) I LOVED being able to go home to my own bed the same/next day(she was born late night), I loved being able to move around when I needed to. I labored on the toilet, shower,birth ball,bed and even the birth tub-gave birth in the bed though because midwife was checking babies heartbeat periodically and said my back was the safest route keeping her heartbeat steady rather than stressed. 
my midwife stayed outside of the room so I could have full privacy, she'd come in and check the heartbeat with a doppler occasionally and my husband called for her when I had the urge to push. I was literally 2 mins from a hospital  that was prepped for me if there was a problem at any point that the midwife couldn't handle. I say do it!

I don't have experience personally, but I had a client (birth doula) who gave birth in a birthing center and LOVED it.  I'm planning this birth at the same center.  Personally, my first birth was a super traumatic induction with a handsy midwife.  My second was a super healing birth in a natural birth unit in a top hospital in our area.  Our new insurance may not cover that hospital, so we're planning to pay out of pocket for the center instead.

Hi!  I can’t comment your birthing question unfortunately but I was wondering if you had any pointers for an all natural birth??  For some unseen circumstances we had to have an induction (we would have liked to wait till the baby just wanted to come) so the pitocin they gave me to start the contractions made it unbearable to fight the pain and at a 4 I gave in with an epidural.  So any helpful advice would be greatly appreciated. I would regally love to have an all natural birth this time!
