How do you feel about your Mother-in-law?

I love her but she doesn’t love me because I’m a stay at home person and I don’t speak to the rest of his family and they take it as me being rude I hate that I’m like that I just really hate people I’m basically a human cat

My boyfriend and I aren’t married or even engaged yet but I LOVE his whole family. His mother is one of my favorite people. She has two sons, one being my boyfriend and she treats both of them as if they are “mommies boys” but my boyfriend isn’t a “mommies boy”. She loves me and I can’t wait for the day she becomes my MIL. She’s hilarious.

Luckily I adore my MIL, we don’t spend a lot of time with her but she is the sweetest woman ever. The rest of his family and I aren’t very close though and it’s super awkward every time we’re around them.

I’m so thankful for a wonderful MIL!! She was so loving even before she met me. It just clicked right away. I can be myself around her. Contrast with my ex-boyfriend’s mom, around whom I always felt I needed to conform to very high standards (high achieving military family with some public figures—one time at a fball game we were in the president’s box (not POTUS, but the military university president)). And I always felt bad about my own family. NOT AT ALL this way with my MIL now!!

She believes that I'm using my fiance to move to Florida (I'm originally from Canada) when in all reality it's just much easier for me to move here because of our current situation. She is also extremely strict, treats her son as if he's 4, she despises me as well because I took her son's virginity before we get married and she is extremely religious like that. Honestly it's like her brain is trapped in the 19th century.
