Pill is making me sick?

Hi so Ive started taking new pills. First my gyno gave me Duphaston to start my period. When I started to bleed, I took my first pill ( Adexa). My period, if you can call it that, lasted 1 day. i kept taking the new contraceptive and since Ive been so freaking nauseous. I often feel like throwing up. Could it be possible that I am pregnant?  Should I change the pill ?

I'd advise you to wait about three months and then see if your body adjusts to it or not. If you still feel nauseous after that time consider switching to different pills (with different hormones in it obviously, there's no point switching to a pill with the same ingredients) or choosing other form of birth control. I was on Yasminelle for over a year and I was feeling good, then something happened and I started to feel awful - the first week after the break between packs I was so nauseous I would skip school and in the last week of each pack I was so incredibly depressed that minor problems caused me to literally dream of suicide. I'm not trying to scare you, I know people who have been on the pill for years and feel great, but it's not worth feeling like a piece of crap all the time. I know how tiring nausea can be.

Nausea is a common side effect of many birth control pills, but if it’s making you really uncomfortable or you cant tolerate it at all, you should tell your doctor.

I eat chips and drink something fizzy right after I take it. I’ve also found a hot shower or bath seams to help for some reason! Definitely recommend eating with it though always helps me. I also take it at night so tend to sleep through the sickness! Hope this helps😊

It is normal because your body is at adjusting phase which usually takes 3-6 months. Youre fine as long as you’ve been taking the pills correctly. And yes try taking it at the same time at night( ideal time is around before you go to sleep ) , it eases the nausea.

I got nausea a lot when I first got in the pill, but it went away eventually. It's different for everyone so I would talk to your doctor about it if it's a huge problem.
