Reason enough to be anxious?

I’m currently 31w3d prego with my little girl who’s due July 4th 🇺🇸
My baby shower is scheduled for May 27th.
Invitations for the shower got send out the second week of April.
According to both of my registries, only 3 items total have been purchased.
I’m beginning to get really nervous and anxious about it because I feel like nobody is gonna get anything on it. Or something. Idk maybe I’m just freaking myself out about it but it’s starting to make me feel worrisome 😧

My shower is on June 10th and only 3 items between 2 registries have been purchased, still plenty of time though. I’ve learned as well that NO ONE uses the registry and it’s so annoying. Even as a guest at another shower. My cousin had her shower last Sunday and I shopped from the registry as well as scanning from the registry when I checked out, and wouldn’t you know if she got SIX of that item because no one else scanned the barcode when they purchased. I look at both of her registries and noticed that she might have gotten like 5-8 things she actually registered for. I’ve noticed people just buy whatever the hell they want, mostly cute stuff and clothes instead of the necessities. I’m hoping and praying that since everyone knows I lost my job they will actually get us what we need off the registry.

I always buy from the registry, but I ALWAYS procrastinate and pick up the gift on the way to the shower. 🤦‍♀️

I've learned that nobody really buys from registries.

I had my shower today (well yesterday now) and most people didn’t buy from the registry. And a lot didn’t include receipts either so I’m hoping that Target or Walmart will take things for a store credit. It was a little disappointing that we put so much time and money into the shower and didn’t get much we needed but I’m still thankful for everything we did get.

I honestly got sooooo much stuff for my baby shower and not everyone did it online or were like me and waited til like, the week of to buy. Don’t stress it! With online shopping, people have a tendency to drag their feet.

It’s possible people are still waiting, but I received very little off of my registry. People want to buy cute clothes and toys for a baby that they pick out themselves, and often ignore the registry entirely. I realized after the party was over that my registry really now is more a list for myself of what I need buy.

Same here, I’m just resolving that we will have to purchase almost everything ourselves and am focusing on looking forward to the shower just to enjoy being with friends. Due July 5, shower is June 10.

My shower is tomorrow.. only 5 people bought off my registries!! That’s okay though I’m happy for whatever gifts we do get and for the completion discount at the end lol.

People buy day of, day before, and or go off the registry and buy it in person. I’m sure you’ll be fine. A lot of people procrastinate. When my mom and I go to baby showers we usually buy it the week of so it won’t get lost or broken.
