A boyfriend having a female friend that he hangs out with till 2 AM. Not getting into the whole “would you allow it” thing. Just wondering how you ladies with lovers would feel about your BF having that sort of friendship? Especially if they’ve been known to flirt/etc.

I have a male friend who’s been my friend for 7/8 years. He always come across flirty to his new girlfriends. But, he is in fact just a really friendly and exuberant guy. He and I hangout until 2/3 am about once a month or more often. And nothing has or ever will happen between us. He’s like a brother. He’s one of my best friends. Almost none of his girlfriends get it though. So often we stop being able to see each other when he starts dating a new girl.
I think background counts, and sometimes people misread or define flirting.

If I didn't feel he was hiding anything, and especially I had met her or hung out with both of them, yeah alright.
I've had male friends that I was that close with and it was never any sort of romantic/sexual thing.

Yes it's normal. My best friend is a guy and we fake flirt all the time but we've established that we don't want to date each other. I can understand why someone would get jealous but there's no reason to be until they actually cheat.

My SO has talked to other girls a lot so to this I would say no unless I was there or I was good friends with this girl and I trusted her not to start anything and she’d tell me if he started anything
