Conceiving After Lap

Kathleen

I was diagnosed with endo via transvaginal ultrasound and am scheduled to have a cystectomy to remove a large “chocolate cyst” (endometrioma) on my right ovary and lap at the end of June. Thankfully my follicles all looked great on the ultrasound so we are hopeful we will be able to conceive on our own after surgery. My gynecologist said that I have two options for trying to conceive after surgery: either try to conceive once I am cleared after surgery, or take birth control for three months to let some of the lesions “dry up” and then start trying after the birth control.

I was wondering if any of you were told anything similar and if so, what choice did you end up going with?
