The 2.8% is just for getting pregnant that day if you BD, it doesn’t represent the whole month.

Unless it’s your fertile window your chances on any given day are 2.9% (or whatever it is) as your only likely to get pregnant the week of ovulation

Those percentages are your chances of conceiving on that day. It sounds like you’re questioning the percentages after your fertile window which isn’t an indicator of how well you did through the fertile window.
