My husband and I are having my son baptized in Mother’s Day. My husband is Methodist and I m Catholic. We go to my husband church more so we have decided to baptize our son there. My mom and I have not spoken since my son was born in December . She is controlling, has mental issues and has disrespected my family . after the day that my son was born, she left the hospital and did not come to see us the remaining 6 days we were there (my son was in NICU). She has called me and my husband names, threatened us, showed up at our home when we asked her not to and has caused us a lot of problems. We decided to cut off all contact with her . She told me husband that she did “not approve” of me going to his church. Mind you’ve..I’m a 33 year old wife and mother who does not require approval from anyone for my choices . At least I’m going to church! Any way, we do not want our son around her for obvious reasons. In a way I feel bad for not inviting her but then again I can’t deal with her craziness , jealously , unstable mind, etc. I refuse to let her hurt my family. anyone else have a similar situation?
