Impant

I got my implant around April 2017 at Planned Parenthood and it made my period EXTREMELY long. Ive recently been getting my period for about 2 weeks at a time and now I am off of it for the same amount of time (i'm also having sex). My boyfriend and I dont use a condom and once or twice he has came inside of me. Two of my other friends also have the implant but have barely been on their period. has anyone who is on the implant experienced something like my situation before?
