Kind of an odd question BUTTT?

Is Blue balls a real thing that actually happen? Because I’ve read it’s not? Wandering if it’s an excuse to get some or what the deal is. I’m married and me and my husband was watching a movie and I heard it on there and it sparked my interest. I asked him about it and he said it’s a real thing. Whats people’s opinion on this or knowledge?

Also don’t ever let a man tell you if they have blue balls you have to have sex with them because it’ll hurt 🙄
They can easily beat one out and feel better. Ladies can get blue balls too in a sense. It’s just when someone is very turned on with no release. 
Normally I’d be snarky but I know there’s young people on here who need this education.
So, I’ll repeat: 
BLUE BALLS DOES NOT MEAN YOU HAVE TO HAVE SEX WITH SOMEONE. They won’t die, be in pain, or anything else. It’ll go away after a few minutes.

It is a real thing. But it's not like unbearable pain. I've read in a magazine that some guys try and guilt trip girls by telling them they have blue balls. And that's actually happened to me too before. But no - it's not like unbearable pain

Okay I just read on several articles that it’s a condition/disease. It’s not really because a guy got an erection and didn’t get off but it’s because he medically couldn’t get off because some sort of blockage and the fluids built up in the testicles and cause a swelling/bulging in them and it makes the skin resort to a bluish color because of the size abnormality.

Lol Since I was 12 or 11 I knew it was a sexual term but I thought it meant “ Everything you could do with your bf/gf without penetrative sex.” Like a code name for no we did other stuff tho.
