special arrangements in marriage?

does anyone have any special arrangements in their marriage where you and your spouse can "see other people" but it doesn't negatively affect your marriage?
for example; you can go have sexual encounters with other people and your spouse knows about it but you always come home to your spouse at night? or maybe you do threesomes or foursomes? or maybe you are swingers?

My husband ex-wife did this with her marriage. I was the other person and obviously it didn’t turn out the way anyone thought it would go. The divorced and him and I have been together going on 4 years, very happy. Neither one of us wants to be with anyone else. We love and have too much respect for each other to do anything like that. Doesn’t always turn out the way you want it to go. Some relationships it works yet most it doesn’t.

The ethical version of this (not just sleeping around or a hall pass) is polyamory. it's a perfectly valid option that works well for some people. it isn't for everyone, but nor is monogamy.
