How often do your toddlers cry or throw a fit during diaper changes?

I'd say that my son cries through 9 out of 10 diaper changes and will run in the other direction when he sees a diaper or wipe solution in my hand. This has been going on since he was seven months old and I keep thinking any day now he will get over it..

We give him things to distract him which works most of the time. Straws seems to work best. He will chew on it and I will blow on his face with it. Singing helps.

But sometimes we fight. lol

Best case scenario is I throw whatever fabric/pillow/pants nearby onto his face and when he removes it I scream PEEKABOO and throw it back on his face. This only works if he’s not full on crying. If he’s already crying it’s just a 10 minute situation of him crying and my crying PLEASE JUST STOP WE HAVE TO DO THIS YOU KNOW WHATS HAPPENING PLEASE STOP.

Thank God I’m not alone, i swear most of the time i just want to leave him without any diaper go free because is so hard... too hard! He is so strong it drives me nuts some days i end up with my arms sore like if i was lifting weights!

ALWAYS!!!!!! I have to pin him down because he goes INSANE. He’s never had a bad experience while being changed as far as I am aware and is only watched by trusted family but idk. Everything he does seems excessive lol. But he will thrash and kick and scream and arch so much he usually ends up hurting himself

Almost always. The morning diapers and the bed time diapers are super easy because that's when they brush their teeth and they LOVE brushing their teeth.

My son throws a fit everytime we put him on the chnaging table anymore. If he is just wet I change him on the couch just to avoid the tantrums.

My room where the diapers are and I’ll give her the diaper and she’s fine until I actually start changing her the. She fusses the whole time. Singing to her helps or playing peek a boo while I change her

He will almost always start to cry when I lay him down to change him, but a lot of the time I can distract him with something and avoid screaming through the whole thing.

If she’s tired, it’s pretty much a guarantee. If not though, she’s actually pretty good about it. She doesn’t cry or get upset but she’s not always cooperative because she wants to play and then thinks it’s funny when I’m struggling to get her to be still 😑
