I’m not writing this anonymous. And I also posted it in the announcements because I’m proud. Why? Well for one sometimes I feel it’s all for nothing and need a self-esteem boost. Sometimes I feel my children and family are the only ones it benefits and want validation. For two, I want to inspire people. Addicts. Normies. Mother’s, Wives.

Everyone either knows an addict loves an addict or is an addict. Whether they know it or not.

I’m not going to make a big long post and share my whole story. Because a Picture is worth a million words. In August I celebrate 3 years clean. I did all drugs, with the exception of one or two. Which ones don’t really matter.

I quit when I got pregnant. Hard stuff 9 days after finding out. (I wanted an abortion at first, as soon as I saw the ultrasound I knew I couldn’t do it.) I used pot to cope until I went to treatment 6 weeks later.

I have a 7 year old my mom adopted. Why I couldn’t get clean for her? I didn’t even know I was an addict yet. I thought I was a victim of abuse and men. Stupid girl. I didn’t realize any of it until it was too late to get her back. We now coparent.

I’m married to a man who adopted my son at 4 weeks old. And I have an amazing stepson.
