I worked in Admitting for Labor and Deliver for years before I became a nurse and I worked insurance plans daily. Any type of medical wether it be (Molina, Imperial, Covered Ca, BC, etc..) they do not cover circumcision (here in Cali at least) some insurances will help pay part of the cost of done in the hospital only. Circumcision isn’t deemed as a medical necessity so it’s not covered by most insurance. The portion som insurances will pay for us the cost of the doctor using the hospital medical tools and room for the actual procedure which will drop the out of pocket cost by $100 or so. I would speak to your case worker or to the Admitting office to where you will be delivering and they should be able to give you an itemized cost of coverage

all health plans i was offered through medicaid gave me the option for free circumcision, i didn’t think state made a difference but i could be wrong

Did any of yall, who paid , have Molina Plan ?

It doesn’t matter where you live it matters what your insurance coverage is. I’ve only know of circumcision being covered by Tricare (military ins) aside from that there aren’t to many others that will cover it. Most people pay out of pocket for it. It’s price range from $200-500 depending on the doctor.
