Bath ?after vaginal birth

I got 2 stitches and forgot to ask the dr am I allowed to bath. ?

I’ve had 5 babies and have always been told when leaving the hospital NOT to take a bath for 10 days. That’s with tearing and not tearing (I tore for 4 out of 5 of my births). They don’t like you to bathe while the cervix is still so open. It can cause infection.

Mine recommended no baths except a sitz bath for my stitches.

I took an herbal bath with my baby within an hour of giving birth. I did have a slight tear that required 1 stitch. The point of the bath was not to get clean, but to relax and get the herbs to help with healing. 
There have been a variety of answers to your question, though, so if I were you, I'd call the doctor and see what they want you to do.

Wait 10 days if it’s to soothe the pain use ice or heat and then after 10 days bathe but don’t use soap and make sure the water isn’t too hot that will sting

yes they actually recommend it to help relax you and help with soreness and etc
