FTM here I am 7 weeks PP and have had nipple pain since birth of my baby. I tried nursing but the pain was excruciating. (Like an 9/10)

Saw a LC multiple times while at the hospital and once I got home. Nipple pain persisted even with baby properly latched on (8/10). Long story short I only nursed baby for 3 weeks before deciding to exclusively pump. It’s been 4 weeks that I have been exclusively pumping and my nipple pain doesn’t seem to go away. Would describe it like a 7/10.

My OB/Gyn told me it was due to the damage cause by bad latching. But after this long my nipples are still hurting while I pump. I’ve already try all the flange sizes and chosen the one that feels the most comfortable but still the pain persist. Pain has gotten very uncomfortable that I’m considering cutting my milk production already.

Anybody going through something similar? Know if any possible solutions to ease the pain.
