Did you feel the needle go in for the epidural?

I was in the middle of a contraction so all I felt was the contractions and not the needle.

No, but I felt the medication go in. It felt like a wiggly line of pop rocks.

They always do it while you’re having a contraction but it didn’t make a difference for me, a little but it so much pressure in your back when they do it

They administer a local anesthetic first, which is just a small pinch. Then they put in the epidural. You don’t feel it go in, but you do feel a weird sensation of it sneaking down your spinal column. It doesn’t hurt, more of a tickle lol. Nothing to be afraid of.

They give you a shot to numb the area which I felt but once that was done they did the epidural and I didn't feel it

I'm the biggest baby. Especially with needles. I don't think it hurt me. I remember the guy pushing his thumb more than I remember the needle. So when the time comes you honestly won't be worried about it.

You feel the numbing needle, not the actual epidural needle.

Nope the guy who did mine did it while I was having a contraction which was awesome of him, I’m hoping this time I get him again cause he was so nice and understanding and even came in the next morning to check on us and wish me happy birthday

The first two epidurals I have had, I felt the needle.  The last time I got one, the anesthesiologist was awesome and I felt nothing!
