Membrane sweep?

Did your doctor mention it or recommend it or did you ask for it? My doctor never mentioned this as an option. I’m due this Saturday and go to the doctor Friday. Did it work for you?

I’ve never had a doctor mention one. I think typically they don’t recommend one until you get to or over your due date. But I could be wrong!

I mentioned it to my doctor. I had one done at 37+4 and I was dilated to a 1cm. My water broke at 37+6, but my dr said she didn’t think it was the sweep that caused labor. But I think it may have helped

My doctor mentioned it to me. I got mines done at 38 weeks n it didn’t really do anything for me but everybody is different. I was only 1cm so maybe it makes a difference if your more then 1cm or closer to your due date.

My doctor mentioned it as being a possibility of being done at my 39 week appointment. I had my first son at 39+1 with augmentation of labor since my natural progression kept stalling.

I had one yesterday at 39 +2 contractions ever since but there not strong enough to go to L&D; yet. My dr recommended it yesterday and I accepted. Wasn't painful until after... hopefully I go into real labor soon. No bleeding or spotting
