What is the most amount of letters you would let your childs full name be?

Answer

I don't count letters,  I count syllables. That's what makes the name sound long (eg Blaire is more letters than Maya, but Maya is a longer sounding name) Mine all have 3 syllables between the first and middle name. If the first name has 2 or more syllables then I try to find a 1 syllable middle name, or vice versa so there's balance.

I decided to really sit here and think on this 😂😂
my name alone is 23 letters full name
my 1st daughter is 22 letters full name
and my 2nd is going to be 20 letters full name.

I agree with syllables. My little buddy’s name is 29 letters and 6 syllables (2 syllables for each first, middle, and last name). My name is he same with 6 total syllables. Husband has 5 syllables because his first name is one syllable. I’d say 6 is a pretty good standard

Lol my birth names add up to 31 letters from start to finish, after marriage 28. I really don't think it matters that much.

Good question! I don't know but if I was considering something rather long I'd probably check how many letter boxes there on are major legal forms (like passport, drivers license, etc) and set that as my max, so the kid wouldn't have a bunch of hassles all the time.

My maiden and married name both, I’m 17 letters.
My eldest is 16 letters 
Second born has 17 letters
Out last will have 16 letters.

My full name is 30 letters long. If you don’t include my middle name, it’s still 25, but most official documents need at least a middle initial. My last name is so long, it doesn’t fit on anything. The government takes off the last three letters of my last name because it maxes out at 16 characters. My student loans and university documents are all missing three letters from my last name. My credit card only fits about the same amount, so my first name isn’t even on my cards. I wish my entire name was less than 20 characters.
