IVF with severe endo - options?

Hi ladies - Im 38 and just found out I have severe endo last year as we had been TTC for a long time. It was pretty frustrating because I’ve been in pain with heavy, heavy periods since as long as I can remember.

Our first round of <a href="https://glowing.com/glow-fertility-program">IVF</a> didn’t work, egg quality wasn’t great and we didn’t even make it to transfer.

We are about to start our second round and I am having one of the worst, most painful periods I’ve ever had. I’m already concerned about <a href="https://glowing.com/glow-fertility-program">IVF</a> failing again and this is making me even more nervous, feeling the way I feel, almost like my endo is getting worse and worse.

I am beginning to worry if it’s even possible <a href="https://glowing.com/glow-fertility-program">IVF</a> could work, or if we should just scratch it, do lap procedure, and move on and go from there.

Any thoughts, or success stories anyone can share? Thank you in advance.

Im kinda surprised they didn’t make you do the lap surgery before starting IVF? I’m not a Dr by any standards, but I was under the impression that they had to clean up what was there if you have a history of TTC with no success and confirmed Endo. 
I had my second lap procedure in November and conceived on my first cycle after in December! No IVF needed thankfully, but would have if TTC naturally for 6 months didn’t work.

Hi Sunshine, I had three natural pregnancies that all ended in early miscarriage. They did a full RPL panel and found nothing wrong. Then we did a cycle of IVF and all I got at 32 years old was 2 poor quality blastocysts (despite having a good AMH level). That cycle failed and my doctor suspected that I had endo. We did a laparoscopy and found stage 4 severe endo. Doctor said I should be able to get pregnant easily after the surgery. Fast forward a year later (1 injections cycle and 3  femara cycles and I still had not conceived). We ended up moving to San Francisco and I just had my second IVF cycle at a center of excellence in SF. This cycle was much better! I ended up with 5 good quality blastocysts and 4 tested normal! I did a FET of one embryo on 6/5/18 and I’m currently 5 weeks pregnant! My first beta was 429 and second beta two days later was 950 so things are looking good. I’m still super nervous and waiting for my 7 week ultrasound but my second cycle turned out a lot better than my first cycle despite me now being 34. Hi I was diagnosed with severe endometriosis about 10 years ago at the time I was never offered surgery but was told I might struggle to conceive we started ttc straight away and I fell pregnant but unfortunately miscarried. After a few more years of trying we were referred for ivf, my first cycle was unsuccessful and we used our frozen embryo and found out it was successful but I miscarried 5 days after my positive test. I’m now so confused as to wether it’s worth going for surgery before our second ivf round or wether we go straight for round 2. I don’t know if it’s the severe endometriosis causing me to miscarry. It’s such a worry all of the time.
