Texas teacher's texts about child with special needs accidentally sent to child's mother

TEXAS CITY — A Texas mother is outraged after she says a teacher's disparaging text messages about her son with special needs was sent to her by mistake.

Tiffany Elfstrom admits her 13-year-old son Jayden can be a handful, but she says the texts she got from his teacher at Levi Fry Intermediate in Texas City ISD were over the line.

"Today at 8:47, 'this little mf'er is crying like a baby for mommy because he wants to go home.' And then at 8:49, 'omg, omg i just want to omgggg pull all of my blank hair out,' the messages read.

She says Jayden has several special mental health diagnosis and attends special classes. Tiffany says the teacher claimed the messages were not intended for Tiffany -- instead she said meant to send them to herself. Jayden says she was once at the top of his list.

"I even told her she was my favorite teacher," Jayden said.

Tiffany says she came to school to pick up her son and showed the messages to an assistant principal.

"She got teary eyed and said I can't tell you I'm sorry enough," Tiffany said.

Now the school district is taking immediate action. A spokesperson said, "the teacher admitted to sending the text but did not intend to send it to the parent. No matter her intention, the text is highly inappropriate and does not represent the character of people we want teaching our students. She was immediately removed from the classroom. We investigated the incident and she no longer has a contract with our district."

Tiffany plans to keep her son at the school where she says he has made great progress, but she says it will be when she knows he is safe.

I was reading some of the comments from my area and majority were saying she shouldn’t teach again with that mentality especially since it was a special needs kid calling her disgusting for doing that to a child

The district removed her and she won’t be able to teach in that district

But should they revoke her license to teach and not let her teach anymore after this incident?
