Clinic refuses to see me until June. Thoughts?

Hello ladies! I'm pregnant with my second baby (first one in UK) and since I've only been in the country for 6 months, didn't bother registering for a gp until now. Then Last week we went to register and I made it clear that I'm pregnant (6 weeks then) and had a threatened miscarriage last time around and was seen by an obgyn every 2 weeks from 4 weeks of pregnancy.

They said once I'm registered, which they will try to speed up, I'll have to arrange a gp appointment and then will be referred to a midwife.

Today I received a call from the clinic. It was a rather harsh sounding woman telling me that my appointment is on 1st of June 11am. I asked to get an earlier appointment but she told me they don't see pregnant women until they're 10-12 weeks along. and she wouldn't accommodate me with a better time either, meaning my husband will have to take the day off to watch our son. Before I could confirm the location and infi she cave me, she gave me the Midwife's name and hung up.

I felt this was strange and this doesn't exactly fill me with confidence. I mean this isn't my first pregnancy so I know what vitamins to take and what to avoid and am taking all the extra precautions from my last pregnancy. But if this had happened the first time around, I would've definitely lost my first child! It was only because previous doctor was to vigilant and careful and put me on the correct hormone treatment that it went well. Bless her.

I am 7w3d now and the cramps have gone down and I've had no bleeding so I'm hoping I'm in the clear at this point.

But what do you think, ladies? Have any of you had this kind of experience in England? Thanks for reading!
