So there’s a guy who really likes me but he’s also pretty shy so he’s only told me this over social media. I don’t like him nearly as much as he likes me but he is cute and maybe one day I could like him? We’ve made out at a party but I made it pretty clear after that I don’t want a serious relationship bc we don’t know each other, and we kind of agreed to get to know each other.

The problem is that I’m not comfortable around him because I don’t know him very well (I’m not a very social person) and I also have so much school work to do now that finals are coming up. I don’t know if I want to commit to getting to know him and spend the time with him.

Is it worth it to spend some time with him even if it might be uncomfortable or should I let it go and let him down? Also, if I decide to let him down would it be bad if I told him I have to focus on school?
