Sex worries

I had sex with my boyfriend and it’s embarrassing to say but it was quite Ruth(like hard in a way) and he went to the toilet after and said he had a bruise on the top part on his penis, like the closest to the bellybutton(only way I can explain where) it looked like a bruise, is this something normal that happens?
