Do you know CPR?

Too many parents around here do NOT know CPR and it’s absolutely ridiculous.

I believe every parent should know CPR, I’d hate for my son to be choking or stop breathing and I just stand there like an idiot calling 911 all helpless and shit. CPR is extremely important to know.

Not every parent has the means to learn CPR.

I strongly believe CPR should be a requirement of all parents before taking their little one home from the hospital. It's life saving and SO so important. In our hospital, we couldn't take our daughter home until we signed a paper promising we wouldn't shake her....we even had to watch videos shaken baby syndrome... 🙄 but no one cared if we knew how to save our daughter's life in the event that she needs CPR or the heimlich. So odd to me. Thankfully both of us are CPR certified and every person who watches our daughter is certified as well.

I'm a nurse and obviously have to know CPR as well as ACLS. Having actually done CPR on a human being I can say it is scary but it helps to know you have that training. It really does just kick in.

I know it but I’m about 8 years past my certification expiring, so I really should take a class again as things have changed. But yes, it should be a REQUIREMENT, that all parents learn simple first aid and CPR

I had to take a CPR course for the program I am doing in college. While knowing CPR as a parent definitely makes me feel better, I can not honestly sit here and say that if my own child is choking or stops breathing that I will be 100% confident to perform CPR... I dont think any amount of preparing can help when it's your own child. Some people are more confident when faced with situations like that.

I had the class years ago.  Not sure how much I remember.  Ended up on bed rest before I could take the class.  Now I have not had the time and kind of forgot about it to be honest.
