unbearable pain reason for induction/c-section?

I have been having excrusiating hip pain that has made day to day activities almost impossible but my doctors have so far ignored everything I've said. Could hip pain that keeps me in bed be a valid reason to be induced or scheduled for a c-section at 38 weeks

Unfortunately I don’t think discomfort is a medical reason to have an induction. I completely understand your misery but inductions aren’t something you necessarily want to have. They cause a lot of stress on your body & baby & should be used as a last resort if you’re body can’t seem to go into labor on its own or the baby is in distress. Have you tried natural induction methods to try to speed the process along ?

UPDATE: they've decided to induce me this Tuesday because they've come to the conclusion that he has IUGR and the risknof leaving him Non any longer past his due dateboutweight the risked of if he's not measuring small but actually not as far along

Everyone has their own opinions on inductions and C-sections of course so plenty will tell you to not do it, but if the doctor is willing completely depends on the doctor you’re seeing. Some will schedule them for just about any reason and others will only do so as a last resort. Whatever the outcome I hope the pain gets better! I’ve been in bad pain on and off since about 25 weeks and I’m 38 now so I completely get wanting to have it over with.
