Would you have a child out of wedlock?

Just curious I know some people are very strict about it others don’t care. Personally I really do not want a child before marriage but I don’t want sex before marriage either so 🤷‍♀️I just want a complete family for my child to be born in too. Although if t did happen before marriage I would keep the child

I want to be married before I have a baby. There’s absolutely nothing wrong with that either. It’s a preference. Marriage is more than just a paper or legal standing to me. I would love nothing more than to marry my SO and start a family together after a few years. We both want the same thing. I don’t see why people have such an issue with wanting to be married before having a baby. Sue me 🤷🏻‍♀️

I got married, loved being married, and had 3 kids with him. We had the marriage people envied. Then he suddenly cheated and I kicked him to the curb. It was shocking. It was unexpected. No one saw it coming. We were seemingly happy and secure with no real problems. 
Marriage doesn’t equal security. Being married didn’t secure my seemingly happy marriage. It didn’t help anything for my kids. I do still believe in marriage but I’m acutely aware at how fragile the entire system is. You can do everything right and choose your partner every day. In the end, they have to choose you too and you have zero control over that. 
Do what you want. “Out of wedlock” is archaic.

I guess Im part of the minority that isn't just out of wedlock but has chosen to conceive via donor because Im single 😂 People can judge how they wish but my priority in my life is that Ive always wanted children, its the right time for me and thats what matters. Screw waiting, lifes too short :) (totally respect those who wait though, just putting my personal choices out there)

My husband and I were together 8 years before getting married (high school sweethearts). We had our 1st daughter young (19), and waited until we were more settled and older before our 2nd. I was 18 weeks pregnant with our 2nd at our wedding. You don't have to be married to be a family and being married doesn't guarantee anything.

I waited until I was married to have children. i wanted to give my child a family, all last names and an actual commitment. ( not saying you cant have those or be a family ) for me I'd never have a child out of wedlock or an accident baby. all my children ( one living one an angel ) have been carefully planned. that's the way I wanted it, whatever works for you do that. some people dont believe in marriage, some get pregnant on accident whatever the case maybe live your life to your own standard and find happiness in that.

I don’t think there is anything wrong with being married or with not being married. All that matters is the child has a stable parent or parents to raise them. Financially and emotionally. Marriage was important to me so I waited until after I was married to start a family, but that’s my life. Other people can choose as they please and there is no right or wrong way.

Personally, no. I don’t view marriage from a religious standpoint, I value it for the legal protection it provides, that’s important for me before having children.
If you don’t want to have sex before marriage, there won’t be a child - your comments in this original post are confusing/contradicting.

I have to say, for many people marriage is an outdated concept. Personally I know far more couples who have been together and stayed together for many years (think 20+) who are very very happy and never married, never wanted to be married. I also know a large amount of people who got married and were divorced within 5 years.
Marriage isn't the "institution" it once used to be. My grandparents were very happily married for 65 years. My parents were married for 13 years (6 of those very unhappy due to my father being a cheating asshat). I never married my first partner, we were together for 16 years and had 3 children together. We just never got around to marriage, and we parted at 16 years as the romantic in love feeling had gone for both of us, mutual decision, remain good friends for our children.
I am now married and expecting our first child together.
