Kidney stones & stent & c section

Katie

Anyone have insight or provide support? I was in hospital for 1 week in excruciating pain at 30 weeks because of kidney stones. Stones are too big to pass so they had to put a stent in. I have severe back pain and stomach cramps. They sent me home with dilaudid but I am trying to avoid it at all possible. Have had to take it a couple times. I am taking 2 baths a day to help with pain. I am nervous about taking pain meds and have only taken them when necessary. It's all been approved by Doctor but still makes me nervous as this has been a rough pregnancy and had a miscarriage prior to this. I am Having a c section in about 3 weeks, so I'm really nervous about recovery. If I walk for any amount of time, I'm in so much pain the next day but I know with c section, you have to get up and walk around. Also, I am up every hour to pee because the stent feels like I have a UTI. I'm afraid I'm going to keep the baby up getting in and out of bed so much. I know babies for sleep much but still. :) On top of that I have terrible pelvic pain and have a nerve issue on right side due to baby and pressure.

Next steps for kidney stones are:

1. 3-4 weeks after baby, they have to put me under to take current stent out. They will blast the stones AND put a new stent in.

2. 2-3 weeks after that, they will go in and take stent out.

Again, super nervous about c section recovery because the stent is so uncomfortable. HELP!
