Scenario: your baby is screeching in the middle of the store. It’s a happy screech with lots of smiles but it’s very loud.

A) smile at baby and (quietly) engage in “conversation” with them?
B) give baby a stern look and tell baby to shush

My nephew used to do this in the stores when I was watching him. Why would I scold a happy baby? If people don’t like it, they can kick rocks 🤷‍♀️

People like happy baby sounds. A normal response would be to laugh and squeal back and enjoy your baby “talking”.

Accidentally selected B, but it's A for me. My daughter has just started screaming as loud as she can for the fun of it. She actually hurt the cashier's ears, I was embarrassed, but it's just part of her finding her voice. I hope she finds it fast. 😶

my son does this all day long if he gets a little too loud i blow a little air at him he like stops and catches his breath then i tell him to breathe and calm down it definitely doesnt always work but he usually laughs and gets distracted for a sec. i hope it becomes a habit as he grows, my mom did it to my brother and he would eventually calm down
