Husband’s female co-worker calls him “babe”

Hi all,

Sorry for the long post. I just want to know everyone’s opinion on my husband’s female co-worker calls him “babe”. We have been married for 10 months and we are very happy together. He’s an amazing, caring, loving husband and we both are professionals. At his work there are too many female coworkers and he is friendly with everyone and he has to be in touch with them on phone frequently for work related communication. He talks to them in front of me, never hides anything from me. I heard that one female coworker calls him “hey babe” when he calls her for something. Every time he calls that’s how she greets him. Is that normal between coworkers? I asked my husband about it and he said he doesn’t know why she calls him like that. I wasn’t born and brought up in US and English is my second language. Just wanted to know if that’s a normal way of calling friends or coworkers. Thanks!
