Birth control injection

So the injection you’re meant to have every 3 months I stopped a month ago and since then I’ve not had my period making it 7 months since I’ve not been on my period but every now and then I’m getting spotting blood. Is this normal and does anyone know when Mother Nature will return because I’m beginning to miss it.
