Flange size?

I know this isn’t the best picture... this is a size 28mm flange. I also have a 24mm. Both of them look similar as to how much nipple/areola get sucked in. 24 is a little uncomfortable on one side. I’m pumping and supplementing due to bad latch and poor weight gain. My question is, is this too big or too small or just right?

I had this same scenario with a 24 & 28. My nipples looked the same too with the 28. Although it didn't bother me much at 1st, my nipples started to ache, so I went to my lactation specialist & she gave me 30mm adapter flanges to try. Needless to say, they are 100% better! It finally feels right & doesn't hurt any more 😊 Huge relief!! I'd definitely recommend going to a 30 as well. I had thought 32, but she said that'd be too big & wouldn't pump as well. Hope this helps!

It's very possible that one nipple could need one size and the other a different size. is it possible for you to see a lactation consultant they can usually just look at your nipple and tell you if you need a certain size.

You should size up. When I did I got more milk in a shorter amount of time.

Is your actual nipple rubbing the sides ? If not it’s not too small. This may be too big

Looks okay to me but you could go up a size if it feels better. As long as you have a good suction and milk is coming out, you should be good.
