How long does it take BC to get out of your system?

I could have sworn my doctor told me it takes about 3 months (this was almost a year ago) but my MIL and even a few ppl on here are saying however many years you are on it, that’s about how long it takes to get it completely out of your system?

if its depo then it takes a very long time for you cycle to regulate.. about a year or more.

My doctors always said it can take up to a year.

I know People that got pregnant a month after stopping. It probably depends on what birth control you were on. I’d believe what your doctor said
